Oil Product Processing Specialist

We are currently seeking an Oil Product Processing Specialist who will be responsible for the extraction, blending, diluting and packaging of medical cannabis oil, as well as completing all required documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing and operating extraction machinery;
  • Blending bulk cannabis oils to produce a finished oil dilution;
  • Working with the Quality Assurance team to submit samples for analysis;
  • Entering production and analysis data into an oil production database, and ensuring said database is accurate and updated at all times;

Market Analyst

We are currently seeking a Market Analyst to join our Product Innovation and Management Team. The position is based at our facility located in Gatineau, Quebec. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers excellent benefits.

Reporting to the Product Manager (who will oversee the Product Innovation and Management Team), the Market Analyst gathers data through primary and secondary research and turns it into meaningful insights for the company to make data driven decisions on product planning and corporate initiatives.

Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will develop print and digital marketing material, play an active role in ensuring Hydropothecary’s presence on multiple social media platforms, and participate in the execution of various campaigns. Although reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will be expected to work closely and liaise with our Business Development team and Communications experts.

Among other things, the Graphic Designer will be expected to:

  • Assist in the development, review and update of all marketing materials (print and digital), ensuring branding guidelines are respected at every level;
  • Participate in the development and execution of a Social Media Strategy and generate required imagery for social media,
  • Liaise with service providers, including agencies, art services, printers, etc. to ensure completion of mandates and projects within established timelines;

Requirements:

  • A diploma in graphic design or other related field (as well as a portfolio) is required;

Cleaning Specialist

We are currently seeking a Cleaning Specialist who will report to the Facilities and Security Manager. The Cleaning Specialist will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure that office spaces, shared spaces and production areas are cleaned in accordance with Standards Operating Procedures and Health Canada requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clean various workspaces in accordance with the pre-established schedule.
  • Ensure cleaning of offices spaces: sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting and upholstered furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as lunchrooms and washrooms.
  • Empty Trash containers and recycling bins.
  • Periodically wash windows and walls.
  • Clean walkways, hallways, walls and/or counters in the Production area in accordance with SOP and ACMPR requirements. This includes greenhouses, laboratories and other secured areas.

    Marketing Compliance Specialist

    The Marketing Compliance Specialist will ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations for advertising and marketing material and strategies developed by the organization. As part of the Regulatory Compliance Team, this role will work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure creative but compliant strategies are moved forward. In addition, this role will also monitor social media platforms for compliance with applicable regulations. This includes but is not limited to:

    Dried Product Personnel

    Trimmer

    Under the supervision of the Processing Manager, the Trimmer will execute the following tasks related to production:

    • will perform maintenance of all production areas
    • will assist in maintenance of production equipment
    • will efficiently de-fan and trim wet product
    • will participate in product preparation (ie. weighing and placement in proper containers)
    • will record all data accurately and precisely
    • will participate in further conditioning of the product (ie. final manicuring of dry product)

    Including all of the above mentioned tasks, the Trimmer will know and follow all sanitation regulations, as well as, security regulations in all their performed tasks. They will strictly follow all the operational procedures they are assigned to as described by the SOPs. They will work efficiently and accurately to promote the quality of the product.     Site Supervisor 6 month contract

    We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor who will report to the Director, Capitals Projects. The site supervisor to work on an ongoing construction project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Supervising sub-contractors by locating, monitoring and controlling site access;
    • Preventing fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes. Developing effective communication between field and other project staff;
    • Receiving and directs shipments and deliveries to the job site;

    Quality Assurance Specialist

    We are currently seeking an Quality Assurance Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Management, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance systems for medical cannabis in strict compliance with Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). The Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for supporting the company’s Quality Assurance, production, maintenance and facilities departments. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Performs QA monitoring in all areas of upstream and downstream production processes and communicates results to respective area stakeholders. This He/She will be mainly accountable for any production
    • Performs laboratory functions such as testing, equipment management and test product development
    • Provides inventory assistance to upstream and downstream production processes
    • Assists in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with Health Canada’s guidelines and guidelines pertaining to production, processing, packaging, labeling, shipping
    • Ensure compliance with regulations through internal auditing and quality systems by performing audits in production, facilities and maintenance for inventory, GPP, GMP and process quality compliance
    • Communicates any non-compliances to respective department stakeholders
    • Maintaining accurate record keeping and cleanliness of work area
    • Liaise closely with colleagues and provides required QC/QA training for all areas of the production facility to ensure efficient resolution of quality related issues

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Business Analyst, Innovation

    Reporting to the Director of Product Innovation, the Business Analyst, Innovation will be responsible for supporting the development of new products through internal development, licensing, and acquisition to help build out a suite of products for both the recreational and medical divisions of the organization. This will involve performing research, accumulating data, and building the business case to support each new potential product as it works its way through the innovation process. This position will be instrumental in helping HEXO establish itself as a brands company while building on its existing reputation for innovation.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Supporting the Director of Product Innovation in generating innovative products in line with pre-established organizational objectives set out by the Leadership Team.
    • Support the build out of our existing product innovation roadmap for both the recreational and medical divisions of the company.
    • Use existing project management framework to move potential new products through the innovation process and keep all stakeholders engaged throughout the process.

    Maintenance Manager

    We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager who will report to the Director, Facilities and Security. The Facilities Manager will oversee our facilities team to ensure the overall upkeep of our installations, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Prioritize, dispatch and ensure completion of requests to repair or replace fixtures and/or equipment. The incumbent will be expected to take part in projects such as installing or moving furniture and equipment, drywall repair and painting, minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects and ensure completion of work in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
    • Manage facilities department staff, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is assigned and completed to meet all applicable standards and regulations.
    • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure all equipment and workspaces are safe and up to Code, identify and eliminate (whenever possible) Occupational Health and Safety risks.
    • Oversee grounds keeping, including landscaping (i.e. grass cutting), snow removal and trash removal.
    • Act as main point of contact for other internal teams, such as those involved in security, cultivation, production and human resources.

    Sales Senior Analyst

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner is responsible of coordinating the planning of production and optimizing production performance with respect to delays, costs, quality, and health and safety. The ideal candidate has 3 years or more experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and coordinate all contract PO (across Canada);
    • Supports sales VP by issuing various sales analysis, KPIs, budgets to assist the team with business decisions and weekly sales performance reviews from all territories;
    • Support business development by analyzing sales and inventory forecasts to support and confirm our contracts with customers.
    • In collaboration with the production team, set up a PULL system to analyze and evaluate the product demand of all our adult sales and medical sales customers;

    Maintenance Supervisor

    We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will report to the Director of Facilities and Security. The Facilities Supervisor will oversee our facilities team to ensure the overall upkeep of our installations, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Supervise a team of Facilities Specialists, including hiring, directing, training, and scheduling;
    • Prioritize, dispatch and ensure completion of requests to repair or replace fixtures and/or equipment. The incumbent will be expected to take part in projects such as installing or moving furniture and equipment, drywall repair and painting, minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects and ensure completion of work in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.

    Job Overview:

    Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Manager supports the development of HEXO Corp’s communications strategies and is responsible for the execution of internal and external communications tactics.     We are currently seeking an IT Technician for our Hull office. As part of Corporate Services, the IT Support team’s goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability. Reporting to the IT Manager, the Help Desk Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems, as well as educating users in an effort to enable them to make appropriate and safe decisions on their usage of the IT infrastructure. Among other things, you will be expected to:

    • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (printers, scales, scanners, etc.);
    • Test computer hardware, mobile devices, and other computing devices to ensure functionality;
    • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications;

    Packaging Manager

    We are currently seeking a Secondary Packaging Manager who will report to the Vice-President of Operations. The Secondary Packaging Manager manages and oversees the secondary packaging process on multiple shifts to achieve operational objectives. Secondary packaging includes label printing, label application and bulk packaging. This includes, but is not limited to:

    Building Operator – Rotating Shift

    We are currently seeking a Building Operator who will report to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor. The Building Operator will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure the overall upkeep of our greenhouses, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

    • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspect as required mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and related equipment including but not limited to carbon dioxide supplementation systems, water treatment, boilers, air handling units, irrigation system, computerized environmental control systems, greenhouse and building envelope, etc, on daily/weekly basis and complete appropriate record logs in order to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order;
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components;
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects;
    • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure all equipment and workspaces are safe and up to Code, identify and eliminate (whenever possible) Occupational Health and Safety risks.

    The ideal candidate is a good communication and as excellent customer service skills, able to work independently with minimal direction and able to respond quickly to emergency situations, great time management skills and ability to prioritize work in order to deliver successful results within agreed upon time frames.     Human Resources Coordinator

    We’re looking for a talented, motivated and enthusiastic person to join our growing HR team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator must have a strong background in administrative support and a passion for efficiency, organization and process improvement.
