Customer Experience Specialist

We are currently seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing 24/7 concierge service for our clients. Your focus will be on assisting with customer acquisitions, relations and care. This includes but is not limited to:

  • As part of a team, managing 24/7 toll free line, answer questions from customers, general public and third parties such as members of law enforcement, doctors, nurse practitioners, caregivers, etc. both orally and in writing.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Access to Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations at all times and reporting any notice of non-compliance to management immediately.
  • Supporting the team of Registration Specialists and participating in the registration process as needed.

Dried Product Processing Specialist

The Hydropothecary is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website. Founded in 2013, Hydropothecary aims to provide Canadians with quality products and an exceptional customer service experience.

We are currently seeking an Dried Product Processing Specialist who will be responsible for manicuring, milling, decarboxylation and packaging of dried medical marijuana, as well as completing all required documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitor, participate in and maintain work flow for each step of the post-harvest production: final manicure, milling, decarboxylation and packaging;
  • Clean and maintain equipment and facilities used in the process;
  • Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to:

    • lot dried product for sale;
    • submit samples for analysis;
    • observe control points and equipment, as well as monitor resources to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Compile, sort, analyze data and report on production performance;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost reduction solutions and reporting systems;
  • Adhere to safe and sanitary working procedures and practices at all times;
  • Assisting the Oil Product processing team as required.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in science and experience working in a laboratory environment since this position requires strong attention to detail and strict adherence to written Standards Operating Procedure. Organization skills, demonstrated record keeping abilities and proficiency with MS Office are essential. An understanding of Health Canada’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an asset. Bilingualism is also an important asset.

Help Desk Technician

The Hydropothecary is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website. Founded in 2013, Hydropothecary aims to provide Canadians with quality products and an exceptional customer service experience.

We are currently seeking a Help Desk Technician. As part of Corporate Services, the IT Support team’s goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability. Reporting to the IT Manager, the Help Desk Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems, as well as educating users in an effort to enable them to make appropriate and safe decisions on their usage of the IT infrastructure. Among other things, you will be expected to:

  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (printers, scales, scanners, etc.);
  • Test computer hardware, mobile devices, and other computing devices to ensure functionality;
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications;
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems;
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment;
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work;
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.);
  • Maintain inventory of computer and communications equipment, anticipate shortages and replenish stock as necessary;
  • Manage Help Desk Ticket Queue, resolve or escalate issues as appropriate. Capture all work activity within the system in a timely manner.

A successful Help Desk Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware along with a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. Relevant training and proven experience as a help desk technician or other similar capacity is required. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, MSCP, CCNA, etc. are considered an asset. Other qualities should include:

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent communication ability in both official languages;
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills;
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles; and,

Assistant Grower

Hydropothecary is a licensed producer and distributor of medical marijuana under Health Canada`s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). Our company`s founding vision is to combine artisanal growing techniques and quality production with the highest levels of customer service. Out medical cannabis is naturally grown, without the use of synthetic pesticides in state-of-the-art greenhouses. We are currently seeking an Assistant Grower. This is a full-time permanent position which offers excellent benefits.

Role and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Master Grower, the Assistant Grower will execute the following tasks related to production:

  • will maintain and renew mother plants
  • will assist in cloning and germination of new plants
  • will efficiently transplant the plants into desired pots
  • will maintain plants in flowering
  • will effectively scout for insects and diseases
  • will assist in necessary treatments (application of predators, sprays)
  • will be able to follow and supervise work orders provided by the Master Grower
  • will supervise and help with harvesting activities when needed (trimming, drying, etc.)
  • will be able to effectively keep track of inventory of growing plants and work with ICS
  • will be detail oriented and correctly fill out all forms connected to his/her work
  • will show initiative in all activities pertaining to cultivation

Including all of the above-mentioned tasks, the Assistant Grower will know and follow all sanitation regulations, as well as, security regulations in all their performed tasks. They will strictly follow all the operational procedures they are assigned to as described by the SOPs. They will work efficiently, independently and will be very detail oriented. They will be punctual, available and will maintain a good work atmosphere with their colleagues.

Minimum Requirements

  • A college diploma in horticulture or related field is required
  • 2-3 years of work in the greenhousing industry
  • Available to work sometimes on weekends
  • Pesticide certification is a plus, but not necessary

IT Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Services team in the role of IT Business Analyst. This full-time position is located at our Gatineau, Quebec facility.

Overview of the role:

Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Analysis, the IT Business Analyst will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives. As such, you will be responsible for successfully validating the requirements of our multiple business functions, as well as the testing and deployment of our software products.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Defining functional needs, configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
  • Performing quality assurance on developed software
  • Owning and developing relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance integration
  • Designing, documenting and maintaining system development and change management processes
  • Reporting on common sources of technical issues and/or questions, and making recommendations for improvement
  • Constantly being on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, proactively identify issues and deliver better value to the customer

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

The successful candidate holds a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and has a software development background. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis and testing is required and must include:

  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Basic understanding of Ruby and SQL queries an asset.

Candidates must be bilingual and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing skills). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization are required. Project Manager

The Hydropothecary Corporation is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Product Management Team. The position is based at our facility located in Gatineau, Quebec. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers excellent benefits.

Reporting to the Product Manager (who will oversee the Product Management Team), the Project Manager ensures every project is delivered on time, within budget and scope. Projects will include the quarterly launch of new products, collaborative activities and other product management initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing projects for New Product Introduction (NPI) and new Product Management initiatives from beginning to end.
  • Building detailed project plans and reports to track progress and keep relevant stakeholders up to date on project execution.
  • Coordinating internal resources and dependencies from vendors.
  • Working closely with internal teams such as Sales and Marketing, Operations, QA and Cultivation to define/fine tune product development/management processes.
  • Ensuring products and projects are compliant with the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate holds a PMP designation, combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager. Experience in project management within the pharmaceutical sector or another FMCG setting is an important asset. Bilingualism is preferred.

Candidates should also have advanced knowledge of G-Suite, MS Office Suite (including MS Project) and other project management software. The ability to work in a fast-aced environment undergoing rapid growth is also essential.

Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Corporate Services team. This full-time position is located at our Gatineau, Quebec facility. It offers a competitive salary and great benefits.

Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible to work within the framework of the finance team in the processing of all supplier invoices and employee travel claims for payment; ensure accuracy to purchase orders; ensure allocation to the proper general ledger accounts; reconcile vendor statements; clear all employee credit card purchases and perform other related general accounting functions as and when required.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
  • Coding invoices to proper GL accounts and classes (i.e. departments).
  • Update and maintain vendor databases.
  • Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items.
  • Maintain account payable files.
  • Coordinate and enforce purchase requisition processes.
  • Prepare weekly cash plan including cheque requisition.
  • Print and coordinate signature approvals of weekly cheque runs for multiple. companies. Ensure cheques agree to invoices and distribute checks accordingly.
  • Audit and process credit card bills.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries and ensure vendor payments and contact information is up to date.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist with month end routines by assembling documentation, vouching and testing transactions.
  • Enter daily bank transaction in QuickBooks, including cash receipts to Account Receivable sub-ledger.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Make weekly bank deposits
  • Daily mail pick ups from local post office. Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Assist with other projects and finance/administrative duties as needed

The successful candidate holds a degree accounting and has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable. Experience in Accounts Receivable is an asset. Bilingualism is also an important asset. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite and Quickbooks is required. He/She must be highly motivated with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, autonomy, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment undergoing rapid growth.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who will be able to support our on-going growth and play an active role in the development and implementation of Human Resources related policies and programs.

  • Expected Start Date: Immediate
  • Employment Type: Temporary, full-time position (4 month duration, with possibility of extension and/or permanency)

The Human Resources Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities: post jobs, review candidacies, take part in interviews, liaise with candidates, etc.
  • Review and/or draft job postings in preparation for a Pay Equity exercise;
  • Participate in the implementation of a joint Health and Safety Committee, as well as the development of an Occupational Health and Safety Program;
